PSJA North’s Michael “Mikey” Gonzalez Commits to Texas Lutheran University
PHARR – PSJA North Early College High School (ECHS) athlete Michael “Mikey” Gonzalez officially committed to playing football at the next level for Texas Lutheran University on March 7, 2024.
A standout athlete and true leader on and off the field, Gonzalez has demonstrated exceptional skill and has earned numerous accolades in the sport during his tenure at PSJA North ECHS including 2nd Team All-State, 2x 1st Team All-Area, 2x 1st Team All-District, and Honorable Mention. In addition to his achievements on the football field, Gonzalez has also exhibited outstanding talent and commitment as a track athlete.
“I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity to continue my academic and athletic journey at Texas Lutheran University,” said Gonzalez. “I would like to thank my parents, Coach Mark, Coach Esparza, and all of my family and friends for helping me get to where I am today.”
Gonzalez will join the Texas Lutheran University football program in the upcoming season where he will bring his talent and passion to the field while also pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology.
